CONVENIENT VANITIES: CAKE AND ICE CREAM

Description: This work combines an awareness of convenient access to foods with little nutritional value with the concept of Vanitas, a term for the inevitable fate that awaits us all. My local 7-Eleven inspired me with its’ treasures of ice cream novelties and Tastycakes. This food themed sculpture was inspired by Michelle Obama’s “Healthy Food” campaign.
